A World of Misfit's. . .

Dawn and Shadow took their usuall places, not but 5 minutes later did Leo and Alex show up.

"Well, Well, Well. Looks like I found you." Alex said, sitting down across from Dawn.

Leo sat down next to Alex, "Dude, I don't see Shadow. . anywhere."

"Maybe she's hiding from you." Alex said, hitting him in the arm.

Dawn smiled, "Don't you want my name?"

Alex smiled and was about to ask when Leo suddenly interuppted, "Hey! I haven;t seen you around here! What's your name?"

'Shadow' smiled, "My name is Iridesnce. Pleased to meet you."

"Have you seen Shadow?" Leo asked.

"I am so sorry, I have no clue who your talking about." Iridesnce smiled sweetly.

Dawn smiled,"This is one of my room mates I think you'll find her very..charming."

Alex gave her a funny look her had away of knowing when things weren't right but he let it slid, "So miss Katana your name is."

"Katana Dawn Aracna."

Iridesnce smiled, "I really do enjoy, Baklava. I haven't had it in a while." shen then took a bite of the treat in her hand, she had made sure to eat as though she was attending a ball insteadof the way Shadow eats.

Dawn looked at her and whispered, "How do you do that?"

Shadow whispered back, "I'm royalty. We get schooled in how to do everything, The proper way."

"Everything?"

"Yes. Walking, Talking, Horse-Back riding. Everything." Iridesnce looked back up, looking at Leo she laughed lightly, as if she was giggling.

"What?" Leo said, he was stumped, "I can't find Shadow. . ."

"You just look so sad!" she said.

"Well, I am..she's quite..unique. I was hopping to hold her hand." He glanced up at Dawn, "Is she up yet? Maybe I can catch her at the tent."

Dawn smiled weakly, Shadow looked suprised.

"Yes, she told me that she had to go check on something, but she didn't tell me what."

"Did she tell you where she was going?" Leo asked.

"No, I am sorry." Dawn said, looking sympathetic. Shadow had to bite her lip to stop form laughing. Leo looked at her.

"Why are you doing that?"

"I just feel. . .so bad that. . . you can't find her. . ." She said, trying to control her laughter.

"You still haven't told me what it is people Call you"

Alex said a little annoyed.

"Oh okay Fine I'll tell you. People call me Dawn." She gave in knowing the ruse starting to annoy him.

"Dawn, That's a pretty name."

Dawn smiled

Leo sighed looking defeated and his friend decided to put in his two cents, "What are you two hiding, hmm?"

Dawn had this look of confusion that even Shadow had trouble not believing, "Hiding what?"

Alex pointed to them, "I know one of you is hiding something. . .just what is it though. . ."

Dawn smiled, "It's not nice to point. Besides we have no clue to what you are talking about."

Shadow bit her lip and hit the table, "It's just that I have a secret love for. . ."

"For what?" Alex said, pressing her.

"Baklava!" Shadow said eating more, trying her best not to laugh.

Alex shook his head, "Are you sure?"

Shadow fell over laughing, "I Can't Take it anymore!!!!!"

Leo got up, "Iridesnce? Are you ok?" He walked around the Table, Dawn was smileing and looking at Shadow.

Leo walked over and grabbed Shadow's hand. Once that happened, Her hand turned black, then her arm and eventually her body. Her hair shortened and turned bright Mint-green. Her features become unseen and her tone came back. She just kept laughing. Leo relized, he was holding Shadow's hand.

"I. . .told. . .you. . .that. . .you . . .wouldn't. . .find me!" She kept laughing.

Leo smiled, "You did Didn't you?"

Alex looked at Dawn, dumbfounded. "That was what you were hiding?!? I though you were hising were she was! I didn't even know that was possible!"

Dawn smiled, "YOu can't figure everything out Alex. We're just complicated for that. " Dawn winked at Alex

Shadow and nodded she's right, "There's a lot you don't know."

Leo was staring at her hand," Whaat?" Shadow said pulling her Hand away.

"NO! Give it back I love the way your hand feels in mine."

Alex laughed and Dawn snapped her head around, "You have an amazing laugh."

Shadow tilted her head, "Ok?" She watched as he reached and got her hand back.

Dawn looked at Leo. "What in the world are you doing?"

Leo didn't hear her, her stroked her hand with his thumb.Then looked up at Shadow herself. "Is. . .it ok. . .if i do something?"

Alex looked over and whispered to Dawn, "What is he doing?"

Dawn shrugged, "I. . .don't know. . ."

Shadow tilted her head side-ways, "What ae you talking about?"

Leo pulled her close and hugged her, Shadow's form went back to human. She was bright red. It turned back, the blush didn't leave though. It turned white and stayed on her cheeks.

Dawn smiled, "Quite a catch you have there Shadow."

Dawn hadn't realized Alex was so close to her until he reached up ad intertwined his fingers with her hand hat had been laying on the table.

Shadow giggled madly, "He likes the feel of my hand in his. . ."

Dawn was to busy thinking about Alex, his hand in hers gave her butterflies.

"You know. . .that dress is really pretty on you." Alex said.

Dawn blushed a little, "It was a gift from Shadow."

Shadow beamed when she heard it but didn't stop to say anything. She was too busy listening to Leo.

After a few minutes the girl pulled their attention from the guys and started talking to each other.

Shadow whispered to to Dawn, "He said he really likes the way my skin feels."

Dawn started laughing and Alex smiled.

"He's a weirdo," Alex said completely serous.

"No, He's cute." Shadow said.

Dawn shook her head smiling.

"He is still weird."

"Ok then Mr. Hotshot. Where Is my. . .nose?"

"It's. . . where a nose should be." Alex said.

"Where is that on me?" Shadow said leaning across the table, "Show me."

"Right here." He poked a random place on her face.

"No. . . that is my forehead." Shadow said, smiling.

"I know where it is!" Leo chimed in.

Shadow turned to him, he poked her face.

"Your pincing my nose. . ." Shadow said amazed.

"Yea. . .I Knows." He started laughing.

Shadow looked at him, "Nobody has been able to do that. . ."

Dawn smiled and whispered to Alex, "Aren't the just perfect for each other?"
Alex nodded in agreement.

"What was that?" Shadow asked when she saw Dawn whisper.

Dawn smiled, "Noooooothing"

"Liar."

Leo's hand came around and grabbed her nose, "I Got your noseeeeeeeeeee~!"

"Leo! Why?" Shadow turned and looked at him.

"To get your attention!" Leo said smileing.

"Ok?"

Leo grabbed her hand again, "It feels so. . . different. . ."

Dawn laughed at Leo's obsession and stood up.

"Hey! were are you going?" Alex said looking a little sad.

"TO gt some dinner!" Dawn said shaking her head.

"Oh," Alex laughed, "I'll come with you then."

Shadow called formt he floor, "Get me something to! He won't let my hand go!"

Dawn grabbed a plate of food filled with Shadows favorite foods and just put her bread and cheese on top.

When they got to the table dawn pulled her food off the top and slid it over to Shadow

"thanks!"

"no problem"

Leo and Alex looked at Dawn, "aren't you going to eat something?"

Dawn lifted up her measly portions, "I am"

"that's not a meal!"

"it is too!"
Alex shook his head, "no you need to eat more."

Dawn looked at Shadow for help

"Alex, to her that's enough. I known her now for a long time. She eats bland, and not alot. So Get used to it!" She said, finally getting up off the floor. She picked up a part of her meal and began eating.

"No. . .It's not." He came back.

"Yes. It is."

"Not."

Shadow turned completely black (like when they first met), "Yes. . . it. . .is . ."


Ok. Ok. I give it is." Alex said, back off slightly.

"thanks"

"no problem" shadow smiled

"t-t-that was scary" Leo said eyes wide

Shadow pointed to herself, "This? Scary? I thought I was adorable. . ." she sounded as if she was going to cry.

"I-I-I Didn't mean it like that!!" Leo jumped up and looked at her.

Shadow giggled, "I know!" She went back to her meal.

Dawn munched on her bread staring at Alex. He was caught up in a conversation with Leo and Shadow.

She watched the way he moved and talked. It was fascinating for her.

Meanwhile, Leo was saying something about not being obsessed while Alex disagreed and Shadow just comment about him being cute.

"Dude! Feel her skin! It's so different then a normal girl's!" Leo kept saying.

"Your obessed with her skin. . .Wow. . ." Alex roled his eyes.

"I am not obessed!"

Shadow giggled, "Your funny when your agrueing."
