Fallen into the World

Celestial's smile faltered. "I do hope you remember. . .I would like to know, anyway, My brother and I are Cosmos-Mutants."
Recieving a blank look, she continued.
"We can influence the moon, stars, and weather!" As an example, she lifted her hands up. The air around her hands crackled slightly and a small storm formed in her hands.

Ice's eyes widened. "Thats amazing!!"

Celestial grinned, "Thank you."

Mirage laugh softly. "I am a Glint. I can experience the past trapped within stones and glass, I can also travel through Obsidian to other worlds. ."
ShadowStep shrugged lighty. "And I am a Shadow-Walker. . ."

"Very interesting," Ice said, looking at each of them in tow. "All I know about myself is that I am seventeen and my name is Alice Valentine. But I decided to call myself Ice."

"How long have you been here?" Ice asked.

ShadowStep stretched. "Only a day or two for me."

"I have been here since I was five, so about fourteen years. Mirage has been here since she was ten, so about eight years."
Mirage nodded.

"Trust me, this place starts to feel like home after about a month." She added.

"I hope so, since I don't know where home is," Ice smiled. She yawned and took off her leather boots.

"Any other questions?" Celestial asked.

"Not at the moment," Ice replied. She yawned again. "I think I had better get some sleep. See you all in the morning!" She closed her eyes and were fast asleep in a matter of seconds.

Ice was woken around nine-fifteen by a loud baning. She sat up looking around, noticing the other girls were just waking up also.
"Up~. Up~. Up~." A small boy's voice cheered.
Ice looked down and noticed a little boy with cat like ears and a tail. He looked alot like a small version of Vate, but had a glowing Aura and a wrap around one of his eyes.

"Dexter!!" Mirage hissed, lunging at the small kid.

"Ahh! No! Big kid attack innoccent small kid!!"

Ice laughed; she had to. "Leave him alone, Mirage," she said. "He may be annoying and waking us up in the morning, but he sure is cute." She moved from her bed to the floor and started to stretch. "Besides, I was expecting to get up far earlier."

"Well, I wanted to sleep in for once," Mirage said glaring at the boy.

"What's your name?" Ice asked the boy.

The child crossed his arms. "My name is Dexter, and I am not cute. . I am fierce!" He tried to prove his point by extending, tiny cat like claws from his hands.

Celestial giggled from where she was getting her clothes for the day from her dresser.
"Quite a predator you are, Dex~."

"I am." He responded pridefully. He then cocked his head at Ice. "You are that amne. . Amnesi. . . Amnesia girl vate was talkin' about, right?"

Ice laughed, "That I am little one. I'm sure you'll grow up to be a strong warrior someday, being so fierce and cute. My name is Alice, but you may call me Ice."

"Ice? That's a weird name," Dexter responded.

"I suppose it is, but I did wake up somewhere with ice and snow all around me, so it fits," Ice said.

"I guess so. ." He replied. "Come on," he said tugging on Ice's arm.

"You need to eat breakfast and 'den I heard you were gonna train with 'Circus Mas'er!!"
Celestial smiled and ruffeled Dexter's hair,

"Remember to be nice to Ice, okay?"

"Yes'M."

"Oh, alright then," Ice said, letting him pull her along. There was no need to change, as she had slept in her clothes. She grabbed her coat and the two went out the door together. Dexter led her to the food hall, and they ate breakfast together. Afterward he took her up to The Circus Master's table. Her and The Commander where just finishing breakfast.

"I brought her!" he said triumphantly.

"Good morning," Ice smiled.

"Good Morning," The Circus Master returned, she then smiled at Dexter.
"Thank you, Little one. I believe you should go on to class now, Da?"

"Yes, Circus Mas'er!"
The Commander offered the boy a salute, causing him to gasp and salute back quickly before scampering off with pride.

They watched him go for a moment before The Circus Master spoke up.
"Here at The Circus, you are tested on your abilities and powers as well as combat skills and acts for when we truly do travel as a Circus."

"Alright," Ice replied. "What shall I be tested on first?"

"Swordplay," The Circus Master replied.

"Sounds fun," Ice replied. "But I make no promises that I am good at any of the things you decide to test me on." The started to the sparring ring.

The Circus Master gave her an understanding smile.
"I am sure you will do well enough," Without warning she tossed Ice a standard longsowrd.

"Ready?"

"I suppose," she said, catching the sword fluidly. She took up a defensive position. "En guard."

The Circus Master chose her own blade and the fight began.

Ice kept a watchful eye on The Circus Master, memorizing her every move. There was some amazing feeling about having a sword in her hand, like it was an extension of her. She waited wondering if her opponent would make the first strike.

The Circus Master smiled softly and spun, striking her sword against Ice's with a resounding clang.
She would from that moment on, use methods to disarm or cut Ice off from her sword.

After an impressive five minutes with neither weakening, The Circus Master reverted back to her usual fighting style.
Slashing and whirlling around her opponet in swift, decisive movements.

Parrying a cut from The Circus Master, Ice responded with her own slice to the left shoulder. It was easy enough to parry and that her opponent did. Ice dodged the next blow to her torso. She spun around and aimed straight for The Circus Master's torso, the flat of her blade ready to connect with its target.

The Circus Master's blade suddenly deflected her's back, Ice was prepared to go for her next attack when she noticed The Circus Master clapping.
Ice stopped and lowered her weapon in confusion.
"Very well, Ice. I am impressed." The Circus Master smiled brightly. "No one has lasted that long sparring with me in ages. . ."

"Glad I could give you a workout," Ice smiled. She bowed slightly. "I'm happy I could see I knew something useful."
She paused, then asked, "What is the next test?"

The Circus Master's mouth twitched into a smile. . .

"Magyk."

Ice looked down at a long glass table with various magyk items spread about it.
"Choose one," The Circus Master urged. "See if it works."

"Oi... I don't know about this," she said, handling a few items.

"You'll do fine," The Circus Master reassured her.

"If you say so," Ice replied. "Oh, I can't choose. They all look like they are going to bite me if I touch them." She took a moment more and picked up a dagger. "What's this one do?"

The Circus Master merely smiled in reply. Ice was about to set down the curious weapon when she felt a cool sensation around her arm.
She looked down at the knife to see that it had acquired a soft glow, she attempted a simple strike with it and gasped when it seemed to desolidify and strike out and three was.

As if the dagger itself were a ghost.

"Oh, quite a charming dagger," Ice said.

"And it didn't bite you," The Circus Master said.

Ice giggled, "No, I suppose it didn't. Next test or do you want me to try another sharp and pointy magical object?"

The Circus Master laughed.

"Nyet. . It is now time for you to choose a Circus Act."

"Hmm, a circus act? I have no idea," Ice said.

"Do you have any natural talent?" The Circus Master asked.

"Well, I've figured out I'm flexible," Ice said. "What acts do you think that would help with?"

The Circus Master tipped her head. "Perhaps one of our acrobats?"
She tapped her foot for a moment then smiled.
"Come with me!"

Five minutes later, the two stood watching Celestial and Stratos performing their acrobatics.
