Wandering

"Sounds...interesting..." Dawn got up and shook the snow off of her and pulled her hood up over her hair again.

"...I..It sounds like something I could try."

"If I don't like it...could I leave..go back to my home?" Home! ha! She kept it to herself but home was the forest not much more than a new mound of dirt for each night.

The Circus Master nodded.

"Of course. Not one is force to stay."
At that moment a truck, surprisingly silent for it's size, broke into the clearing. Out stepped a young man with pure white hair and golden eyes.
He dashed over to Ice with a medical kit.
"Sorry for the wait, Circus Master."

Dawn stared at his hair and awe for a moment but then took a moment to make sure hers was tucked out of sight and walked over. she stood close enough to hear, but not lose enough to be inclusive in the group.


"I think I'll" try it." Dawn was quiet after that.

The Circus Master smiled softly as she helped Ice up into the truck.
"Well then. . . Welcome to the family."

After around fifteen minutes of driving, the truck finally breaked infront of a large campus.

The land was decorated with a few military compounds amd multiple circus tents, coloured in dark greys, silvers, and blues.
The Circus Master was the first to exit the vehicle, then Stratos, Ice, and finally Dawn.
"Welocme home."

She looked around. Katana could hardly remember ever seeing this many people. Her eyes big she followed the group quietly and awe struck.

Ice winced slightly. "Er, Circus Master. . May I--"
"I have already called Vate."

Just as she spoke, a boy with cat-like ears and a tail approached, looking worried.
He bowed slightly to the Circus Master and gave a rushed hello before having Stratos lead Ice towards the infirmary.
"She will be perfectly fine now," The Circus Master commented.
"Why don't we go speak with my second in command?"

Dawn Nodded her head and walked with the lady after a moment of contemplation she asked, "uhm, ma'am. What is your name?"

The Circus Master stopped, her hand resting on the canvas of a tent.
"Ah, my real name? Da, I do not share that freely. . ." She turned her green eyes on the wanderer, staring evenly.

"But I can trust you, can't I? By my misfits, I am referred to as The Circus Master. Names are power, young one, and my name is Aya."
She smiled softly and opened the tents curtan.
"Come, The Commander awaits."

Inside the tent sat a man of around The Circus Master's age, but his appearence cause Dawn to gasp quietly.
He had various faded scars on his face, and scattered silver scales like a snake.
A forked tounge flicked lightly out of his mouth.

"Welcome back, Milday Massssster."

Dawn swollowed her sock and glanced from Aya to the snake man waiting for the meeting to begin. She didn't know what to say. And sometimes speaking was even hard for her after so long of not. So she just stood and waited

The Circus Master smiled warmly and the man.
"Miss Katana, I would like you to mee The Commander. My second in comand and dearest friend."

The Commander bowed.
"Ah, it issss an honor to meet you, Misssss."
He looked up, hypnotic silver eyes resting on Dawn.
"Welcome to the Circus."

She met he commanders eyes for moment and then said to both the Aya and the commander, "Call me Dawn."

she paused a long moment to gather her words, "What do you want for me being here? I have no mony and no land. I have nothing to give.". Dawn couldn't find any other reason the circus would help her.

The Circus Master and The Commander exchanged a glanced, a smile playing on the edge of Aya's lips.
"I-i don't believe you understand. . " The Circus Master started, laughing softly.

"We are not interesssted in your posssesssionsss, Misss Dawn."

"Correct. As I told you before, we are open to one and all. The Commander and I handel finances! Honestly, the only thing you are ever 'recquired' to do is find a way to help when we perfom the actual Circus!"

Dawn blinked a couple times and was a little embarrassed. She just didn't understand the people. They wanted to help her, but wanted nothing of hers. She bowed her head and thanked them both, "I'm sorry I reacted in such a hostile manner. You seem truly to be good people." She thank them once more.

"Not to worry, Misss Dawn." The Commander replied.

"It is our job, da~." The Circus Master added.
"I live for it."

There was a short silence before The Circus Master spoke up.
"Ah! We should probably see that you get a place to stay, I assume you are tired?"

"Not really." Dawn said honestly. "I don't sleep much but I would love to see the place I'm staying at but I have one request before this is all said and done...I would like to be able to be around the forest when ever a need. IT calls to me even now."

"Calls to you?" The Circus Master repeated, smiling slightly when Dawn nodded.

"I see, well never fear. As long as the guards on duty know where you are off to you are free to go out as you please!"

"Thank you." Dawn replied quickly.
The Circus Master smiled softly and nodded, turning on her heels and motioning for dawn to follow

The Circus Master led Dawn to the dorms on the oppisite side of the campus.
The dorms were clean, comfortable areas seperated by gender then by age. Dawn entered a room with five beds, a dresser and a chest set next to each bed.
The Circus Master motioned to the one closest to the door. "This will be your bed, you are also given the dresser and the chest to keep any personal items in.
She smiled. "You will be sharing this dorm with Miss Ice, Celestial, Mirage, and ShadowStep. They will all welcome you warmly!"

Just then Ice walked in. Vate had bandaged her up and managed to heal the broken rib, but it was still fractured a bit, leaving Ice to where she would need to take it easy for a week or so.

"You," Ice hissed then turned to the Circus Master. "Milady Master, why does she have to sleep in here?"

"Where else would you have put her?" The Circus Master asked.

"With Joss," Ice replied coldly, going to sit on her bed.

The Circus Master released a soft sigh.

"Ice. let us be resonable, da? I know the encounter with Dawn was not exaclty. . .Pleasent, but I believe everything shall be well now. Correct,Dawn?"

Dawn nodded her head slowly. She felt bad about attacking Ice but not too much, it's about surviving at all costs. At least that's what she felt now. Maybe someday she would have friends that meant more to than life. Maybe not.

She looked at Ice, "I'm sorry I pulled a weapon on you. You startled me is all, and as for your ribs..you attacked me. I was just defending myself. I didn't do any real harm. I could have but I didn't."

Ice snorted, and turned to get something out of her dresser.
"You should have known that you wouldn't get out of Milady Master's grasp that easy," she said, pulling out a necklace. "Especially with threatening someone of the Circus."
The blue stone in the necklace seemed to glow darkly in Ice's hands. She slipped the necklace over her head.

"I had to try..Ive had me and no one else. How was I to know anything about a bunch of of people sneaking around in the middle of the night?" Dawn missed her solitude already. She satires at the stone trying to figure out its meaning and importance. She couldnt. People where just complicated for her. She wanted to go back.

"Ladies. . ." The Circus Master snapped, leaning back against the door frame.

"Can we please try to keep things civil? Forgive and forget, if we are not unified we will only tear ourselves apart. . ."

Dawn slid her hand made bag off her shoulders and started pulling out her few belongings. An extra pair of cloths she'd made some tools she'd manage to make or trade over the years. She started putting them neatly and organized in her area, " Maybe eventually".

The Circus Master released a soft sigh, glanicng over at Ice.

"Ice, you know what is expected of you." She said sternly, then clasped her hands together nodding.
"Alright. Once you are settled, Dawn, would you like to eat?"

Dawn nodded, "I'm ready now." She didn't have anything left to unpack she slid her extra blade in he rboot she alread had one one her forearm, "but what do I do with my bow and arrows?"
